Our Mission

PRIMARY PSYCHIATRY'S EDITORIAL MISSION

Still evidence-based and clinically driven, Primary Psychiatry’s mission is to educate physicians about matters of applied psychiatry and, ultimately, improve the care of those who suffer from mental illness. In 1994, Primary Psychiatry became the first psychiatric journal specifically created and designed to bridge the gap between psychiatry and primary care medicine. Since then, the journal’s focus has been to pointedly address interface issues between both groups and advise them on how best to diagnose, treat, and manage the growing base of patients with CNS disorders.
