Our Mission
PRIMARY PSYCHIATRY'S EDITORIAL MISSION
Still evidence-based and clinically driven, Primary Psychiatry’s mission is to educate physicians about matters of applied psychiatry. In 1994, Primary Psychiatry became the first psychiatric journal specifically created and designed to bridge the gap between psychiatry and primary care medicine. Since then, the journal’s focus has been to pointedly address interface issues between the two groups and advise them on how best to diagnose, treat, and manage the growing base of patients with comorbid CNS illness. Primary Psychiatry’s goal is to improve the care of those who suffer from mental illness.
